Repair a sticky or nonfunctional home button.

• Includes the home button flex cable assembly, the home button face, and metal ring in colors to match your iPhone 6s or 6s Plus.

• This part does not include the gasket that seals the home button face to the front panel of the phone.

Please Note: that only the phone's original home button assembly, paired to the logic board, will be capable of using the Touch ID functionality.

• Installing a new home button will only restore ordinary home button functions, not the Touch ID features.

• Remove the two 1.9 mm Phillips screws securing the home button bracket.

• Remove the home button bracket.

• Use the pointed tip of a spudger to disconnect the home button cable from its connector on the display assembly.

• Using your fingertip, gently press up on the home button from the front side of the display assembly to slowly separate the home button's rubber gasket from the front panel.

• The gasket is very thin and will tear easily. Apply steady pressure and give it time to separate.

• Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry the lightly-adhered home button flex cable off the display assembly.

• Remove the home button assembly.
